LaGrange Leather, founded in the early 1970s by Lannie Bryant, began as a self-taught artisan crafting personalized leather keychains and selling them door-to-door. His passion for leatherwork led him to establish Moontan Leather, a store that combined his leather crafts with eclectic jewelry. In the early 1980s, he opened LaGrange Leather, offering hip western leatherwear. Over the years, the company expanded to six locations operating for over two decades. In 1987, Lannie was recognized as one of the top five Entrepreneurs of the Year by Ernst & Young of West Virginia. His wife, Babs, a designer since the age of 12, joined the business, bringing her fashion-forward designs to equestrian events across the United States. Together, they have built a legacy of quality leather goods and innovative designs.
